Troll Poem by Matthew Foor

Troll

It begins with an invasion
Of the body and the soul
Born from within
It creates a troll….

"A troll you say? "
I can't say it any other way
One that took refuge
And dug in deep
Inspired not my refuse
But an insatiable treat

Living on endorphins
Riding hormonal shifts
Feeding on our lust
Living on our lips

It teases you with an occasional taste
Of the kiss you wish to share
Yes it does, with the utmost haste
It really doesn't care

This troll is full of mischief
Full of malignance and disdain
What you do desire is furthest
Furthest from his brain

So you must trick this master of trickery
For he wants nothing but your misery

He will test you with his riddles
Try and stump you with his rhymes
Having all the time in the world
He'll do it 1 million times
