True Romance - Poem by Brett Rogers

Every so often,
(Quietly at the kitchen table
Over a slice of pie
in the late-night)
Some delicious morsel
Of knowledge
Or wisdom
Or silliness,
Will loose through the air
From my brain
Unclaimed …
And I smile heavy,
And wonder where you are?

Topic(s) of this poem: longing, self reflection
