Trumpty-Dumpty Poem by Anne Dever

Trumpty-Dumpty

Trumpty-Dumpty sat on his wall,
Trumpty-Dumpty had a big fall.
All his GOP henchmen and all the Alt-Right,
Couldn't save him from his own blight.

He's lied, he's cheated, he's plotted and schemed,
His legacy will be entirely scandal-themed.
Throughout the world his presidency has been a menace,
I really think he should have been named Dennis.

Can't wait for the epic movie that will be made,
What will they call it - there's already one called Charade.
The star will be made to look like an orange actor,
And have a big role as the great U.S. detractor.

For all the wrong reasons he'll forever have renown,
Will it be the issue with Ukraine that finally brings him down?
He probably bigly regrets that 2015 elevator ride,
At that point none of us knew how much he lied.

As he goes, (let's hope)so goes Pence,
Then Dumpty's wall will stay just a fence.
Imagine a day when he'll no longer be in power,
Hopefully the next President won't be so dour.

If he lives long enough he'll see dismal attendance at his museum,
He'll lie about that too - you know how his small crowd sizes irk him.
Looking forward to the day when Dumpty is a thing of the past,
The next president will seem like the greatest in contrast.

Trumpty-Dumpty sat on his wall,
Trumpty-Dumpty had a big fall.
Puppet to Putin but to our allies a foe,
Here's hoping we'll finally get to see him go.
