Trust The Author

Day by day like proverbial flies
We’re caught in diverse snares
We die believing Satan’s lies
Still bound with worldly cares

How is it done how can it be?
How come the devil rules?
Why can’t the world begin to see?
He treats us all like fools

The choice to sin is free to all
To walk with Christ or stray
To freely stand to freely fall
Remain or walk away

We need to think while time’s at hand
Evaluate the score
Consider life and understand
There must be so much more

Can gold and silver satisfy?
Can palace yacht or plane
For three score years then slowly die
Are most of us insane?

Is man deceived, his eyes so blind?
Believing God a lie?
Accumulate to leave behind
Without him wondering why?

To life my friend there must be more!
Far more than we believe
Why else would life receive a door?
To enter and to leave

Life’s Author sits on Heaven’s throne
The Lamb who once was slain
Life’s Stumbling Block & Cornerstone
The Lord who’ll come again
