Truth Hidden Inside Mask Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

Truth Hidden Inside Mask

Truth Hidden Inside Mask
When truth is linked with personal benefits,
Gender, caste, religion and specific community
It gets distorted and turns terrible than falsity.
It is why people can't spell truth without mask.

Those who are enjoying polygamy can't dare
To speak against it without wearing mask.
Female bodies are displayed as salable objects.
One who earn millions exposing herself
Will not dare to speak about female exploitation.

Hindu women who were burnt alive
With their dead husbands are still
Worshipped as symbols of Godess.
We fear to speak against hedious culture.
Truth remains trapped inside religious frame.

Truth is always Inflicted by vested interest
Our social norms, programmed by priests
For the benefit of special high class.
We can't revolt against without mask
We do feel fear of social rejection.

Biblical incestuous relation with father
Is indeed, not comfortable to digest.

Black people were treated as slaves
Form century to century, like animals
Yet white feel proud to discriminate.
Hardly a handful dared to advocate
In favour of human rights of black.

No one dares to speak against those distortions
Without wearing fake identity and fake name
They fear to face the wrath of Orthodox society.
Majority of established trut are worthless
For prosperity and welfare of human beings.
