Truth In Deception 01 Poem by Kira Bloom

Truth In Deception 01

I find myself in a game of deceptive fantasy
Every thing what it seems, a reflection of dreams
A world no one holds true, but what if it was the only one
The real you?
We scheme with the happily ever after of our lies,
building a soft pillow for our fall.
Somewhere we might look to lay, on an unbeknown answer,
broken into stars.
Listening to words that can't be unsaid.
Memories we can't erase or replace.
If only.
Then maybe I could drink a piece of heaven.
Maybe I could live again,
Maybe I could be innocent and forget,
the past and all its regret.
Is there a drug for the soul?
If I can't heal this pain I wish I could dull it
Like a hot poker in my brain, and
a feirce needle in my heart.
Will it ever let go?
Or will it be eternity's unrest?
