Try To Be Poem by Neil Adams

Try To Be

Try to be the number one
Try your best for me your son
Working hard to earn your right
Satisfy our needs tonight

What you do is what we get
Pain and anger but no regret
You work hard for us to stay
Even through hate every day

Cause deep inside you love us too
Just as much to show we love you
The reason fight and dis respect
To show our love is but direct

We hardly bond we hardly talk
We never have time to go for a walk
If we talk and work it out
It will help no need to shout

But i know your childhood times
You watched your dad commit your crimes
You just don't know how to be
There to talk for you and me
