Trying Poem by John Doe

Trying

Blood,
Water,
Tears,
What?

We care so,
Slit our wrists,
Hate ourselves,
Hate the world,
End it all,
It's their fault!

Oh,
The compassion,
The caring,
The love,
The happiness

Why?
Menial lives
Yet you still try

It ends;
Still you try
She dies;
Still you try
Fire;
Still you try

Idiocy?
On whose part?
Respect -
Or foolishness?

It's all over
There is nothing
Why do you still go on?
How?

You trudge through muck
For what end?
Hold on,
But I won't
