Twi-Life Poem by Michael Caldararo

Twi-Life

Let me come in,
For I am ready.
Hold out your hand,
So I might be steady.

Smile and laugh
And don’t worry for me.
I have seen many things
And some things I let be.

My love has grown
And in some it’s awoken.
A gift so profound
No words ever spoken.

My heart and my mind
I would fully employ
To make sure that life
Contained miracles of joy.

I’ve sang of the beauty
And harbored the rest
I’ve worked very hard
At being my best.

And now when you see me
Remember these things
Remember my substance
And a heart that still sings
