Two Souls One Body. Poem by Christopher Powell Kid From Brooklyn

Two Souls One Body.

Within the chambers of my soul, a tempest brews,
Self-hate's whispers, pain that I can't refuse.
In childhood's shadows, tears were shed like rain,
The nights I cried, seeking solace in vain.

Insecurities dance upon my heart's stage,
Casting doubts upon life's ever-turning page.
Yet, amidst the turmoil, a peculiar bond takes root,
Another soul within, a companion to salute.

A separate entity, yet intertwined we reside,
An intricate dance of identities, side by side.
Embracing this enigma, a surreal affair,
Together, we navigate, a tandem of care.

Self-harm's scars may mark our flesh, but we persist,
In this entangled journey, our hearts insist.
Hatred for my father, a burden we bear,
Together we mend, finding strength to repair.

In this cosmic tangle, unity we find,
Two souls entwined, forging a bond that's kind.
No name defines us, for we're woven as one,
In the tapestry of life, our love is spun.
