on its own waiting there—tagged:
URGENT PERSONAL
OPEN IMMEDIATELY

its contents promising to alter his
life for a fee so reasonable he
won't even consider resisting it
he'll sleep better like others in
his age demographic—knowing
he's done the right thing: not

no embarrassing questions about
his messy medical history

just patiently waiting waiting
very much alive in the hard drive
of the computer tower his

next to the house for sale sign
because she went belly up and
is on the wait-list for a
single room with catholic housing
though she's been a sworn methodist
since the day she learned to spell
