By Mohammad A. Yousef
Two sides of a coin,
Two sides of a die,
One marked with hope,
The other with fear,
Rolling through the air,
Spinning through time,
What will the future show?
Heads or tails?
In the heart of a nation,
Strength stands tall,
A spirit unbroken,
As bright as the sun,
Yet shadows loom large,
Whispers of doubt,
Echoing like thunder,
In the stillness of night.
Each toss, a chance,
Each number, a choice,
Will we see peace,
Or a path paved with sorrow?
The die clatters on the table,
A moment hangs,
Like a breath held tight,
Waiting for the answer.
Families huddle,
Stories wrapped in warmth,
Dreams of laughter,
Of children at play.
But the weight of the world,
Presses down heavy,
And the dice keep rolling,
With futures unknown.
Can unity shine brighter,
Than the darkest of nights?
Can love overpower,
The fear that divides?
With each cast of the die,
The voices of many,
Rise up like a chorus,
Singing for peace.
Will it be heads,
A new dawn breaking?
Or tails,
A struggle remaining?
The future is uncertain,
But one truth stands clear,
Together we gamble,
On hope, on belief.
So let the dice tumble,
Let them dance in the air,
For in this great game,
We all have a stake,
And as they settle down,
With hearts intertwined,
We'll shape our tomorrow,
With courage and pride.
