Uncharted Waters Poem by Aldo Kraas

Uncharted Waters

I have the feeling that what they call the unsinkable boat will sink this Time on the Atlantic sea
But I am sorry darling we will no longer go on that journey together
We will go on a different journey by plane and not by boat
Because the boat doesn't sound safe to us anymore because it travells Through uncharted waters
And if it is for us to be together and live together
Let us do it right for once
By traveling by air and not by boat
And that alone doesn't mean that I am only thinking of myself
I am thinking for both of us
Because I want the best for us
I want to wake up having you near me
I want to tell you my histories of childhod
And I want to grow old loving you
