Uncommon Habitation Poem by alonge oluwabukolami

Uncommon Habitation

the lion and the hen cannot
cohabit in the same hut
dinning from the same pot
and snore on the same spot

neither can they drink
from the same stream
of understanding
at all times....

Two holes in one skull
and ears
yet won't dance to same tune
to the music of all times

a gap made called 'difference'
another, a ditch named 'absence'
....diminishing minor passions
inflaming great ones
as the wind douses my candle
and fans the fire

Restitution!
Resolution!
Who desires it?
Who will say it?

Burying pride and ego
Murdering fault-finding
But resurrecting peabe-seeking
That this uncommon
may come through

To my friend
