Under Amelioration Poem by DaCosta De Poet

Under Amelioration

Down the deep blue skies,
Everything eventually lives and dies.
As human, you hurt, you heal, you fall;
When you sit in mistakes, try to stand tall from it all.
No big deal, learn and grow;
Kill your ego, correct your mistakes, and let go.
Strive to live far away from malice and spite,
And be a neighbor to yourself, not just to your pillow in the still of the night.
Aim to be real, authentic, and true,
Embracing your flaws, and all that you do.
Know that you're a work in progress, evolving every day,
So strive to be better, in your own way.

Be under amelioration, run this life race
In your own possible pace.
Be under amelioration, to be made new,
With smoothed edges, and a heart renewed.
For pain will subside, for love to shine through,
So believe that you'll ameliorate, and be better than the former.
