Unexplainably Yours

Something’s happened sensationally odd
Seemingly without cause
Uncontrollably Lord my God
I’m irresistibly Yours

I don’t care how I don’t care why
This strangely came to be
I only know though once I’ll die
I’ll live eternally

Through He who was and is to be
Who is yet died before
Incredibly but few could see
Beyond the days of yore

But why my God did You choose me?
How can I be Your bride?
Most surely Lord Your eyes could see
My filthy state inside

You see my heart my every thought
The dreadful life I’ve led
That since a child I’ve fallen short
Within the devil’s bed

Though truly sorry for my sin
The shameful paths I’ve trod
How could I ever hope to win
A place beside my God

I’ve heard of course of saving grace
About that dreadful cross
Still who can I stand death face to face
Festooned with so much dross

Yes something’s truly happened here
Something un known before
Something taking all my fear
For life forevermore
