Universal Need Poem by Mary Champion

Universal Need

I need you; you're part of my wholeness,
although I cannot specify
the reason I feel lost without you;
I just know that without you I'll die.

Though I try,
I cannot put a name to
what you bring me,
but when you're not there,
there's a hole at the heart of my wholeness.
In some sense, we are part of a pair.
