Unmovable Love Poem by Ryan Lee Morris

Unmovable Love

The storm it is raging.
My life inside out.
This is when you work best.
I do not have doubt.

You can calm the waters.
The mountains you'll move.
For You are The One.
You have nothing to prove.

It looks like it's magic.
That I don't understand.
The feats you accomplish.
With the holes in your hands.

From the east to the west.
Is how far you cast sin.
So my old world will die,
And Your new one begins.

I found it hard to believe,
In a father unseen.
For the one that I had.
He was always so mean.

So how could you love me?
I was really a mess.
I asked for Your help.
And you replied “Yes”.

You showed me my errors
Told me of my wrongs
Yet In spite of these things
I still belonged

I'm a part of Your flock.
This sheep went astray.
But You knew I'd return.
To the Shepherd one day.

Your love is unreal.
Unlike anything I've seen.
Loving me regardless,
Of the person I'd been.

I know I'm not worthy.
But You loved me so much.
My life was so empty.
Til my heart you did touch.

You took my shortcomings.
You threw them away.
I had the debt.
It was You that did pay.

I cannot imagine.
How much you gave.
The pain you endured.
So I could be saved.

So forever I'm thankful.
For Your promise You kept.
You are my savior.
This is what I accept.

On my path I continue,
With You as my guide.
To me never again,
Will You be denied.
