Unrequited Love Poem by Ashlyn Brena

Unrequited Love

The empty space in my heart echoes with sadness,
Why can't we be together?
I love you with all heart and all it's veins, all my body and all it's bones.
But you don't feel the same.

All my letters finally found refuge in your trash bag.
All those gifts I sent are decomposing in your beautiful garden of roses.
I stare at the stars as they bling in triples and pairs.

Just like the moon I stay alone and lonely watching the night go by,
Reading about happiness but my joy for life is stuck in a grave.
I want you badly, but maybe I just don't deserve you.
