Unrighteous Fire Poem by Ken Barrett

Unrighteous Fire

Untold thoughts of explicit desire
Something was smoldering in my mind
Burning intensely with a ruthless fire
I became so arrogantly blind

With my virtue scorched from all of that sin
Disregarding you maliciously
Remorseless of your feelings of chagrin
I made you suffer so viciously

The time has arrived for me to repent
Casting aside my nefarious ways
In this I refuse to yield or relent
To extinguish that infernal blaze

I will endeavor to carry this through
With my unrighteous ways I will eschew
