Yes, I miss you so much my dear,
A yearning too deep that runs through my veins
Throbbing my heart—a feeling I disdain.
There's a strangeness, a numbness in my soul,
Cold and aching, I crave for you to console.
Piercing the veil of my strength
Your thoughts make me drown,
Looking to hold on to the moments,
I wish to adorn as my prized crown.
So I whisper to myself—It's just fine,
Write down my thoughts,
To soothe my heart and mind.
In your arms I find my peace,
Yet it is not the way perhaps to be.
I know you feel my heart,
But choose not to reciprocate to me,
Lest I take a cue for what's not to be.
I know you hold fears and subdued pains.
I know you have been deceived
By times uncouth frame.
I know you have loved, and want to love more,
Yet you crawl back lest time repeat the old.
Yes, I have loved you, love you so much,
For reasons I know not nor can truly fathom.
My feelings I am not ashamed to confess to you,
Even though I know you long knew.
Our time on earth might well have matched,
Together that we have moments here grasped.
But there's something a little amiss
That holds us back to make whole our kiss.
