Unseen Truths Poem by Hannah La Gaire

Unseen Truths

You wait till I'm gone to use your soft voices,
Your whispers are so silent yet they're loud.
Little do you know I hear them all,
For I hear soft voices clearer than loud ones,

Your secrets I hold are sometimes hard to bear,
I pretend like I'm clueless I pretend I don't care,
I know you want me gone but you need me here,
Yet I'm still in the way of you getting near,

It's hard pretending for it takes a heavy toll on me,
You fabricate the truth even though I'm aware of it,
So I drift into my own world doing my own thing,
For to you my presence is just your safety net,

So when I'm in my own world don't blame me,
Its just me shielding and containing myself,
With the secrets I bear I stand so free,
Rest assured they're safe with me.
