Unsubstantiated Truths Poem by Catherine Inscore

Unsubstantiated Truths

We sit idly by...
lines drawn; battles rage
bloodshed; red pools flow
yet... we know nothing
our behavior is reprehensible!

In His name we fight
warriors for what?
Faith-love-unsubstantiated truths
cries of horror, bloodied streets
children scream out-my mother!

in Their eyes we should notice
we should search for righteousness
the smallest dream unrealized
life is such a commodity
