Until The End - Poem by Barry Conway

THERE IS ALWAYS THE EXPECTATION,
BUT ONLY FLEETING MOMENTS OF CLARITY!
TO SEARCH,
TO BE IM THE ARMS OF SOMEONE,
UNTIL THE END,
TO KNOW THE SAFETY OF THEIR LOVE,
THE ONE THING,
TO PROVE THE WORLD WRONG!

EACH SEARCH OF MADNESS,
WILL END IN FAILURE.
MANY DETOURS, MANY TRIALS,
FALL BY THE DISTANCE.
EACH CRASH, EACH PRACTICE,
MUST BE PUT BEHIND YOU,
EACH BALANCE REBALANCED.
LONELY IS THE UNDERSTANDING,
THAT VISITS THE THOUGHTS,
OF EACH RECKONING.
INJURY HAS NO CURE,
BUT TO DENY IT'S PROVENENCE.

EACH LIFE IS LEAD IN THE DARK,
ILLUMINATED BRIEFLY,
IN THE SEARCH OF HALF LIGHT,
WHERE EACH SPECIES,
TRAVERSE THEIR DESTINY.
WE ARE NO FAVOURITES,
IN THESE RITES.

REFUSE TO COMPLY TO LOSS,
CHOOSE TO SUCCEED!
SO THAT YOU ONLY SEE CLARITY,
IN THE UNFOLDING.

Topic(s) of this poem: dark, failure, love, success, trials
