Untitled - Poem by Ayzhelle Mendoza

He created a fire
Next day, he built his new home
While i'm sitting in an old tire
Just looking at him roam

There's a river between us.
Made of tears.
No matter how hard to swim
No matter how wide it may seem
My thoughts and my heart's dream
is to be with him.

He stood by me
like he always does
Now it's just me
and it's no longer us

There's a wall between us.
Made of pride.
No matter how hard to break
No matter how long it may take
I will be patient for I've made a mistake.
For our love's sake,

Can we rewrite our past?
Can we rebuild our trust?

Is he happy? Is he happy?
