Untitled Poem by Arnie Hicks

Untitled

if there be no cure -
nothing to right the heart its wrongs -
then let this tired body wither and wane.
ferry it on to join the frail ghosts of fortune fallen;
nevermore to know the sorrow and suffering
of love once conquered and twice lost.
