(untitled #21) Poem by bob barci

(untitled #21)

Rating: 2.7

Don’t know what it is,
but here I am again.
Out here on the porch again.
Heavy rains drove me out once more.
I should stay inside
but the rain brings me out to watch.
So, here I am again
trying to get in a poem or two
before the rain begins to stop.
Don’t know what it is
that makes me want to
sit out in the rain like this,
but, here I am again,
hoping that the rain doesn’t stop too soon.
And, as usual,
I spend too much time just watching the rain
instead of writing.
Unfortunately, by the time I even think
of something to write,
the rain eases up and stops.
So now I need to go and walk in the afterglow.
