I stand alone on a deserted beach
Small and insignificant
Eyes closed
Face upturned
I scream your name into the wind
Cursing
Weeping like a child
Tears merging with the ocean
Carrying its sadness with the tides
to whimsical worlds
Where mermaids sigh
