Jacques du Lumerie

Untitled (Ff % 243 No 238) - Poem by Jacques du Lumerie

Those who sang to us
Are dead.
All the others who heard these songs
Are also dead.

We are the only ones left,
We try to remember the songs
So desperately...

And yet after we have died
There shall be no more singing.
