Untitled Vi Poem by Alexander Foald

Untitled Vi

Sometimes, just at times when night arrives
I will know how imagination can be so alive
Feelings will come out of nowhere
And suddenly, I will see you in front of me

It takes a long time to remember
Things have been done but that wasn’t what we prefer
We put much effort to make up for everything
But we know sometimes it’s better to give in

Maybe you were just too much for me
And our fate wasn’t going on the right way
Maybe I didn’t pay too much attention
When you said your feelings have gone

There was no easy way to say it
And you cried on me over the phone
There were times when I knew what to answer
But I just kept quiet until you’re done

I wonder if it wasn’t a dream after all
Because it feels so hard now to wake up
After so many years pass me by
You’re the only one left in my heart
