Unturned Stones Poem by Tony Noon

Unturned Stones

These unturned stones
are an end to the matter.
Small plots draw down
the years. Epitaphs are
soothed away by water
and the wuthering winds,
as if small words cannot
be allowed to summarise
each and every epic life.
