Unwanted Poem by Lydia Thacker

Unwanted

Rating: 5.0

Why must I want you
when you've no desire for me?
Why do you insist upon keeping my heart
instead of letting me go free?

I gave my heart and soul to you,
and all you did was take;
for eternity you keep my heart,
never allowing me to mend the break.

Either take my heart of leave it;
don't just sit and stare.
I gave my heart and soul to you
and you don't seem to care.
