Uptight in the classic fashion,
saying too little too much.
See us as we go forth crashing,
lost to human touch.
Uptight in the sunlit dayroom,
remembered all too long.
Fly right every afternoon,
coming on too strong.
We tried to get in
but couldn't make it now;
amidst the Babel din
we took our final bow.
Uptight all the passing day,
deciphered much too fast.
Meaning put forth anyway,
not quite what we asked.
