Urban Decay Poem by Rodney Russ

Urban Decay

Displaced defeated diseased minds

Packed on one another like sardines

Throat cancer psychological whips

Dependent and debilitated, illiteracy

Swimming in a pond of helplessness

Jesters negotiating the terms of surrender

Blinded by a rainbow, an abstract sun

Looking away from the clouds

Blind of what keeps them asunder

Urban Decay
