Useless Love Poem by Elizabeth Walker

Useless Love

So many times I wrote about love I didn’t know I was wrong
Love is just a useless word people sing about in songs
It won’t last forever if it lasts a day you’ll feel worse in the end and that’s how you’ll stay
Confused, remorseful, angry, sad blaming it on relationships you never had
Hoping one day you’ll meet the one of your dreams
Isn’t that silly with ludicrous bursting at the seams
That one single person can do it all I’m laughing so hard don’t make me fall
It may work for some but it ain’t working for me
I much prefer lots of company
