Valentine Poem by Jonathan H. Scott

Valentine

I used to have a valentine
As pretty as can be.
When we were young, on sunny days,
She used to swing with me.
One summer's day, she went away
And left me all alone.
And where she is this very day
Remains a thing unknown.
Alas! there came another day
When swinging by my side,
A girl with kisses sweeter still
Who soon would be my bride.
