I knew many shades of midnight
But I never knew one so black until
The night I saw his eyes
Through those months
On that night
The storm rolled in my heart
Lightning my cries piercing the sky
My throat worse than fire
My face torn with blood and tears
Fear sealed my eyes
I told my self it was over
But never believed that lie
Moments of eternity
Destroyed the fire in me
My heart soul and body
Suffered hell’s ride
Worse than my own it was his
Every strength I never knew wasn’t enough
Every will dominated by his need
The only innocence he left
Speared with pain
Burned by his fire
I was left colder
This I couldn’t endure
I still don’t know what hurt more
My heart or my body
I can’t seem to make out a simple emotion any more
What do I have left
What is there to give to know
Besides these damaged goods
Though the rain tried to was it away
It is still my virgins blood I taste
His proof in my mouth
While I drown in the pain
His voice still rings
