Vapour Poem by DUW Robinson

Vapour

Rating: 2.8

Voices in my head, voices in the night
Voices that tell me it is time
Time to be reborn, time to fight
Time to kill the candle but still show the light.
Its vapour
Can you feel it
Its vapour.
A running hand tearing the dress
Killing the bride, making a mess
Look for the switch, there's bloodon the bed
Next thing you hear those voices in your head.
It's a pity when all you see is vapour
Its a pity when all you feel is vapour
You and your spirit, dust and vapour.
The trees in the wind know the sounds
Of voices that roam the streets at night
But until you hear, you'll never believe
But that's when the vapour comes and takes your light.
Crawling bugs
And the smell of rut
And all servants of vapour.
When I return to that mountain of old
Will I be young or will I be old
Will I be just one more story untold
Or will I have men standing out inthe cold.
It's a pity when all you know is vapour
it's a pity when all you are is vapour
You and your spirit, dust and vapour.
