Vestal - Poem by Megan Lacey
Freeze me up in marble
My heart can take no more
Turn me into some chill Vestal
To forget what my heart is for.
I tire of being lonely
But if I must be alone
I wish to be an ice maiden
Carved from the coldest stone.
Free me from my wretched passion
It has brought me low
For my love, he does not love me
And he must never know.
