Victim Of Change Poem by Okello Baloyi

Victim Of Change

Typically, I was running away from my old bills, fighting to see tomorrow, having a predictable life, then I licked a reward of my own sweat, affluential I felt, an edge of possibilities was on my path!

I was once on the top, suddenly everything tastes like water, the only part left for me is to survive, motive to live I can't afford, how can I live with limitations even when I have to buy food.

Incompetent, as they say I am, risks are made to change the way we live but what if it changes not for good but worse? gaining something comes with commitments plus I may suffer to maintain such responsibilities!
