View From A Delhi Train Poem by Katy Fulker

View From A Delhi Train

The artist started with a canopy of deep leaf green,
Alive with the sounds of beauty and tranquility,
Bouldered by chunks of broken crust dusted
With the redness of earth.

He then sprinkled a small handful of multi-coloured
Silk and linen gems,
Crackling with hope,
And threaded together with the brightness of humanity.
