Vintage Amity Poem by Harish Mudaliar

Vintage Amity

Tiny pecks so shiny sprinkled so high
Painting the fading dusky velvet dye
Weaved as a stole of dangling lamps
From sky bows down like a celestin ramp
Through the floyd shades and fancied air
Walks soft and gentle the handsome pair
Lady love charming as a bud time bloom
And her man a mighty looking groom
Grand in white gland suit and floral gown
Round their silky hair sparks the splendid crown
Fluttering in the lux of ambers, pearls and corals
Plush as their noble countenance and morals

Beneath the spotlight swirls the newlywed
To the taps and tunes, they brush and bend
Feast for which their loved once lived so long
Guides their tender heart to weep like young
Rejoicing like there's no tomorrow to live
Clink their glasses of scotch with joy and relief
Vibrant blossoms of thousand different shades
Enfolds the blessed as virtues that never fades
And now the joys twice increased and sorrows wane
Candid and content they stride down the alley of gain
Paved high up with perfect peace all along
Years no matter, as their passion keeps them strong
