Virtual Breakdown Poem by Tygrr Robertson

Virtual Breakdown

Sitting at your computer,
…day after day
Another world,
…in which you play

Characters created
…by your own hand
Born from you,
…to walk these lands
Friends you’ve gathered,
…along the way
Bonds have formed,
…from cyber clay

For years your family’s,
…been waiting for you
Waiting, …
for your head to unglue
From that beast,
…who stole you away
Constantly calling,
…Come in and play!

Love you’ve found,
…in your virtual world?
What’s next?
…A virtual boy and girl?
Your cyber world,
…must be so much better
Don’t worry about me,
…please try to fetter

Once you were,
…my whole life
Now you are just the,
...hole in my life

I’m free now! !
…Free from you

Free from you,
…and your virtual brew! !

this poem is very powerful, I think all of us has lost a friend to cyberspace, and it is such a strange loss because they are there and yet...they are gone and no way to bring them back. strange addiction! !
