Vitanoid Poem by Paul Seda

Vitanoid

Rating: 3.0

The kids watched the setting sun in awe
Darkness seemed to instill fear in them
The raging war denied them peace
Holding one another with their malnourished body
Death seemed to avail its face
The cycling vultures above them
Seemed to know what's due
Their protruding mandibles said it all
Hunger was their death

A mile a way
A scene horrifying
A pile of dead bodies
A stench fill the acrid air
With the Vitanoid scene before them
Some held the cadavers crying calling mama! Papa!
Still young and naive
Still asked why go so early
Why leave us
