Vulture And You Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

Vulture And You

VULTURE AND YOU
Difference between vultures and you
Tears roll down from our painful eyes
When everyone makes profit from our cries
Politicians swallow lion's share of foreign aids
Millions of dollars collected for our rehabilitation
A program, intended to profit from our disaster
Donated materials supplied to market for resale.
What channel they follow, how they legalise illicit game
Indeed, mysterious but not hidden to those who suffer.
Helpless to pay for tents and grain, donated for us in vain.

Media too is not free from such hedious game
We are celebrities in vain, get nothing from them.
Advertisements introduced with drama display our pain
Collect millions of amount for their own fame.
Real honey hunters suffer for even a drop of rain
One who captivate their sufferings, enjoy million-'gain
There is no difference between you and vultures
One who is waiting for its share of flesh in dying life
And one who is seeking to profit from someone's tears.
Isn't it a crime against humanity, that you need to fear.
