Vulturesville Poem by Derek Kuborn

Vulturesville

I fell asleep with you right next to me.
I smoked a cigarette when you were gone
It helps keep the thought of you in my lungs.
I've got smoke in my lungs,
And its name is love
I've got smoke in my lungs,
And I'm getting cancer now.

I woke up to the tunes
Of you dancing in my room.
I said baby girl lets sin.
Why wont you let me in.
Baby girl lets sin.
I'm dieing to begin.

I'm a vulture with bad habits.
I hunt to kill maggots.
And I'm potent in every corner.
I could use another worn one.

And even though you're extremely gorgeous
that has nothing to do with my purpose.
The mattress said will you be my tiger.
Your brilliant enough.
Why not make love?

I saw you in my dreams last night.
You told me you were gonna make the world mine.
Well darling its about time.
I'm the king of kings.
And i can make you sing.
Because I'm the king of kings.
You better bring your wings.

I'm a vulture with bad habits.
I hunt to kill maggots.
And I'm potent in ever corner.
I could use another worn one.
I'm your sultan, and I'm ready
To daze the good ones.
And I'm frozen in every movement.
I could use another hard one.
