WAIL FOR KRISHNA
HAR PRASAD SHARMA
They weep and wail for Krishna,
the thoughts of parting fill them with fear,
to Krishna`s face their eyes they raise,
with drooping lids they sadly fall,
they look at Krishna and they say,
` our hearts you can not tear away, `
they rest a while and weep again,
their hearts wreaths in severe pain,
in pain and agony, prayers they make,
loud sobs their painful breasts do shake,
as troubled with grief, their heads do reel,
they squat and hold the chariot`s wheel
