Waiting Poem by William B. Deutscher

Waiting

Waiting for the message,
long overdue.
Some kind of infection:
It's something with you.
Waiting for the sunset,
dooryard copper hue.
All your rejection:
It's something with you.
Waiting for the door prize,
promises anew.
By my recollection:
It's something with you.
I tried to get it right,
but there was no simple way.
Third-degree by hot light
with nothing left to say.
Waiting for the shoe drop,
another day to rue.
Just like school dissection:
It's something with you.
