Waiting For The Promised One Poem by Mystic Qalandar

Waiting For The Promised One

Waiting for the Promised One

They wait for the coming of Jesus and the Mahdi,
but they shall wait in vain.
For none shall descend from the heavens,
neither shall the Promised One arise from the earth.

These are doctrines fashioned by the minds of men,
traditions woven into the garments of faith,
and hopes handed down
from generation to generation.

But the Truth comes not in the form of a man,
neither does the Kingdom of God come from afar.
Behold, the sign is within you;
the Kingdom is already among you.

He who has ears, let him hear.
He who has eyes, let him see.
He who has a tongue, let him speak.

The Truth stands unveiled.
What need have you of another sign
when the Sign is already within you?
What purpose would the Promised One serve
when the Truth is already present?

Why wait for him
when the Kingdom is here?
Why seek him in the heavens
when the Divine Presence is within?

Behold—
the door is open,
the veil is lifted,
and the Truth has never been absent.
