Waiting For You To Call Poem by Justin Gildow

Waiting For You To Call

It's raining steadily outside
And I'm inside watching a movie
on TV
Watching ' Control '
A biopic of ' Joy Division '

I'm waiting for you to call

Thankfully, I have patience
And they say patience is a
virtue
If that's so
I can't wait to see you
Tonight

I'm waiting for you to call

It's rainy and miserable outside
When you get home
I won't be in the mood to go
outside
and probably not tonight
Either
I'm taking a guess you won't be
either
That you'll just want to order a
pizza
As we cuddle on the couch
Under a blanket

Biding my time
Watching this movie
I'm just waiting for you
Waiting to hear from you
Waiting to hear you call
As the rain continues to fall
Outside
